"On The Sal" Burger Recipe:

• Begin with a Hamburger, Cheeseburger or Double-Double
• Add hand-leafed lettuce
• Add tomatoes
• Add fresh or grilled tomatoes
• Do not add In-N-Out Spread

"On The Sal" style burgers is essentially a regular hamburger, cheeseburger, or Double-Double from In-N-Out that does not contain the "secret" In-N-Out spread.

UPDATED APRIL 16th, 2018: according to a current In-N-Out employee that goes by "MP98," On The Sal is not part of the actual secret menu. They state that this lingo is not used by In-N-Out employees so the cashier will have no clue what you're trying to order if you make this request. They claim it is better to just say "no spread" when ordering before you are offered the option of enjoying ketchup or mustard as a replacement on your burger.
